The last major trip to the Botanical Gardens, for rose season, turned out to be a doozy - i took 451 shots (thats about one every 20 seconds i was there). It took a looong time to cull. I think the majority of roses were a little beyond their best before date.













Kind of looks like flowering trees like crabapple and cherry (not surprisingly, as they're part of the rose family).

Inside the Turner Pavilion Tea House in the Rose Garden.

I decided to do "when in Rome" - black currant teas scones with strawberry jam and cream, and iced tea (it was hot and humid).
