2006 November (late) - The house in Christmas lights.

2007 January 1 - Dawn of the New Year: Looking east from our front porch, about 7:30 am.

2007 January 1 - Dawn of the New Year: Looking south from our front porch (we live on a corner), about 7:30 am.

2007 January 1 - Dawn of the New Year: The backyard.

2007 May 12 - Here's our house, with spring flowers in front, around noon time.

2007 June 13 - We have a giant oak in our backyard. Aside from scattering a ton of leaves in the backyard every fall, and providing a home for squirrels and aphids, Someone decided to take a nap on Wednesday. By the way, the photo cuts off the first 15 feet of the tree.

2007 June 13 - Here's a close up of the bugger. Usually we only see these guys at night. What a nerve!

2007 September (late) - Our house.

2007 December 31 - A pic of the backyard on the morning of New Year's Eve, with a fresh dusting of snow.

2008 January 01 - I wanted to take a shot of the sun which came out late afternoon on New Year's Day, but it began to disappear again while i was on the highway, so this is a quickie from the car.

2008 January 01 - Obviously, i'm not actually looking through the viewer in these shots.

2008 January 27 - I looked outside this morning, and i saw the sun trying to peek through the clouds, even though it was snowing lightly. Funny how my camera made the snow look so grey.

2008 January 27 - A close up of the sun, the grey flecks being white snowflakes.

2008 February 7 - We've had such a dump of snow lately, had to take this 'pristine' shot of the backyard.

2008 February 7 - Here's a close up of one of the pear trees - the snow is thicker than the branches.

2008 April 28 - The backyard from the bathroom windiw again. You can see the trees and bushes are beginning to bud, and the forsythia is in bloom.

2008 April 28 - Looking to the right, the little garden my Dad is going to get rid of (my Mom wouldn't let him before). It has our remaining daffodils. You may remember the shots of the daffodils on the front of the house, the paler white and yellow ones. My Dad doesn't like bulbs, i guess. Anyway, he offered them to the neighbours, so the front garden is empty now.

2008 May 1 - A reverse angle, looking up towards the bathroom window. You can see a bird has built a nest on the downspout near its top. The porch (the panels covering the sides are mysteriously removed) leads into the dining room.

2008 May 1 - A close up of the nest - the North American robin, which is only vaguely like a proper robin, and not related - it's actually a thrush.

2008 June 23 - The pile of leaves at the base of our oak tree is from the stupid squirrel which keeps trying to build a nest in it.

2008 June 23 - A slight breeze will knock it down (just below the bat house - which the squirrels have ruined by gnawing big holes in.

2008 June 23 - There it is - dumb, even as squirrels go.

2008 June 30 - It seems the previous robin disappeared, or something happened. Anyway, there was more nesting going on, and some chicks. Nice job crapping on the wall, BTW.

2008 July 1 - Distressed parent.

2008 July 1 - Parent and chicks.

2009 January 16 - For the most part the winter has been abnormally cold, and snowy (i think we'll hit a record this year).

2009 January 16 - Look at the ice outside the bathroom window.

2009 January 31 - This was a short pile of snow after a previous melting, all curly. You can see the 3 feet of snow behind the fence.

2009 January 31 - We've had a few dumps of snow since.
